COSMOinspire 2026
Knowledge Management as the Key to the Digital Future
Three cities, numerous inspiring conversations, and a shared goal: preparing companies for the future.
With events in Hamburg, Munich, and Vienna, the COSMOinspire Roadshow 2026 brought together more than 500 participants. The focus was on current challenges related to digitalization and artificial intelligence, as well as the question of how companies can sustainably preserve and leverage their knowledge.
We at SmartStash were also there and took the opportunity to talk with experts and executives from a wide variety of industries about their experiences, challenges, and plans for the future.
Knowledge as the Foundation for Artificial Intelligence
One question ran like a common thread through all the events:
Where do we stand today in our digital transformation, and what are the right steps to take for tomorrow?
It became clear that successful digital transformation means much more than simply introducing new technologies. Companies face the challenge of providing information in a structured way, making knowledge accessible, and actively involving employees in change processes.
Especially in this age of AI and an ever-increasing flood of information, knowledge is becoming a critical competitive advantage. Those who can quickly find, share, and build upon relevant knowledge lay the foundation for better decisions, more efficient processes, and more successful collaboration.
Knowledge as the Foundation for Artificial Intelligence
A key topic of the roadshow was the use of AI in day-to-day business operations. Numerous presentations and discussions with customers made it clear that the quality of the results depends largely on the quality of the underlying information.
Or, to put it another way:
AI is only as good as the knowledge it has access to.
This is exactly where modern knowledge management comes into play. Structured information, clear responsibilities, and a centralized knowledge base enable companies to fully harness the potential of AI solutions in the first place.
As Klaus Aschauer, CCO of the COSMO CONSULT Group, so aptly put it:
"AI is like a tsunami—some people still think they can stop it, but that's not going to happen."
The question, therefore, is no longer whether companies should be exploring AI, but rather how they can create the necessary conditions for doing so.
On-Site Discussions: Similar Challenges
In addition to our presentation on knowledge management, COSMOinspire 2026 offered one thing above all else: the opportunity for face-to-face exchanges. In Hamburg, Munich, and Vienna, we had the chance to engage in numerous fascinating conversations with specialists and executives, gaining deep insight into the challenges companies are currently facing.
It quickly became apparent that many organizations are facing very similar challenges. Knowledge is scattered across different systems, important information is hard to find, and valuable experiential knowledge is often locked away in the minds of individual employees. At the same time, there is a growing desire to implement modern AI solutions and make better use of existing knowledge.
We were particularly pleased with the response to our presentation and the discussions that followed. Many attendees confirmed that the challenges we presented reflect their day-to-day work. It also became clear that SmartStash’s approach—providing knowledge in a centralized, structured, and easily accessible way—is a promising solution for many companies.
Our many discussions have shown us once again that knowledge management is no longer a marginal issue. It is a crucial building block for successful digital transformation, efficient collaboration, and the meaningful use of artificial intelligence.

SmartStash as a Central Knowledge Platform
This is exactly where SmartStash helps companies organize and share knowledge in a sustainable way and integrate it into their daily work.
Whether it's process documentation, work instructions, best practices, or practical knowledge: A central knowledge platform creates transparency and ensures that information is available where it's needed.
Especially when combined with Microsoft 365 and modern AI solutions, this lays the foundation for a future-ready digital workplace.
Our Take on COSMOinspire 2026
COSMOinspire 2026 has impressively demonstrated that companies are eager to take the next step in their digital transformation. At the same time, it became clear that sustainable success does not come about through new technologies alone.
Successful digital transformation requires people, processes, and, above all, a solid knowledge base.
We would like to thank COSMO CONSULT for the successful series of events and all attendees for the engaging discussions, new perspectives, and valuable insights.
We are already looking forward to continuing this dialogue and to helping companies make their knowledge visible, usable, and future-proof.
